Next to the Mora Garberg, the BK2 is heavier and nearly twice as thick, built for hard camp work. Next to the Fallkniven F1, it trades portability for heft. It is also the knife upgrade in our Go Bag.
What owners and reviewers say

“I hike and camp every single weekend and this beast hasn't let me down yet.” Brad Pigott, KA-BAR customer review
Questions people ask
Is the coating rust-proof?
The coating helps protect the carbon steel, but the edge is bare. Wipe it dry and add a light coat of oil after use, especially in wet weather.
Is the sheath secure?
Yes, it holds the knife firmly. Some owners find the draw easiest with two hands until the sheath breaks in.
What does the warranty cover?
KA-BAR's limited lifetime warranty covers defects for the original buyer. It does not cover damage from throwing, prying or batoning.
