How it compares
The Scout sits between the MyMedic Recon and the Medic. The Recon is a smaller daypack-size kit, while the Medic is larger and adds clinical tools such as a blood pressure kit with stethoscope, pulse oximeter, cervical collars, a skin stapler and a full Wound Closure Kit. For one or two people on the move, a MyFAK Pro or TFAK is lighter and easier to carry.
Questions people ask
How many people can the MyMedic Scout support?
With over 250 supplies, including two tourniquets, multiple bleeding control dressings and chest seals, the Scout is sized for a family or small group rather than a single person.
Does the Scout include a tourniquet?
Yes. This Pro version includes two rapid tourniquets along with QuikClot and pressure bandages. Training such as a Stop the Bleed course is recommended for anyone who may use them.
Is there room to add my own supplies?
Yes. The Scout was designed with extra interior space, and the exterior MOLLE panel and elastic side pouches give you more places to attach or stow gear.
Is the MyMedic Scout HSA eligible?
Yes, retailers list the Scout as HSA eligible. Check your plan for its specific rules.
